The activities in the Center are essentially based on two components: the production of traditional aquaculture species – the golden (Sparus aurata) – and the investigation of new species with potential for aquaculture.

In the field of research, the CMC is dedicated in developing breeding techniques, nutrition and the growth of species of interest to aquaculture.
