The Regional Directorate of Agriculture is the department of the Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and Florestry that is responsible for contributing to the definition of public policies in the agricultural and livestock area. In addition to conducting agrarian vocational training, and scientific studies every year, Regional Directorate of Agriculture ensures the supervision, promotion and improvement of the quality of Azorean agricultural production, the promotion of agricultural diversification, organic farming, animal and plant health, as well as veterinary public hygiene. This entity is also responsible for the following services:
