OMIC is a Science Center integrated in Azores Science Centers Network (Rede de Centros de Ciência dos Açores – RECCA) whose main objective is the promotion of scientific knowledge in the area of Microbiology. Having as its main theme “microorganisms”, the Observatory aims to stimulate interest in science and technology, making them accessible to the general public and, in particular, to young people, as it provides didactic support to school programs and contributes to tourist offer of the region.
