The Research and Development Unit in e-Health of the University of the Azores (NIDeS-UAc) is a joint multidisciplinary initiative of teachers and researchers from the University of the Azores (Portugal) and professionals from the Azores Regional Health Service (SRS-A). The NIDeS-UAc aims to promote and develop R&D projects, services and cultural extension initiatives in the areas of informatics and health, and their confluence in e-Health. It is part of the Azores Scientific and Technological System and maintains active links with national and international R&D centers, with SRS-A and with local technology-based companies.
